About the Author

I am an aspiring mother. For me, I always thought it would be great to have kids, but if it didn’t happen then that would be okay, too. But then I decided to try to conceive and everything changed. I started to miss my baby; I can picture that little one so clearly. For all you parents-to-be, I know you know what it’s like, to miss someone you’ve never met, who’s never even existed. It is heartbreaking. There are hundreds of books on conceiving, on pregnancy, on parenthood, several excellent memoirs about what it’s like trying to complete one’s family, but I felt like there was nothing out there for me. So one day when I got my Big Fat Negative I decided to write something for me, a journal to help me keep track of everything I’m going through and to help me stay hopeful, which is crazy hard to do month after devastating month. I hope it helps you, too.

I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I love reading, writing, the outdoors and nature, and spending time with my awesome hubby and our dog (Sirius).
